Jaunt was composed in January of 2008 for the Central Wisconsin Symphony Orchestra. While not a fanfare in the strictest sense of the word, the piece does share similar qualities in its short length, directness, and sense of jubilance. Jaunt is full of catchy themes, expansive harmonies, and exciting rhythms that take the listener on a short journey “there and back again.”
